Canadian Goose-Neck Gourd

Canadian Goose carved from a goose-neck gourd. The front feather areas are textured to look and feel like feathers. All light and dark areas were created using carving only, no paint or colours were added.

The gourd is entirely hollow and it lights up very well with tea-lights, however my camera does poor low-light photographs.

Tools: rotary tool with saw and carving bits, melon-baller
